Senior Recruiter, DeAndrae Jackson, reveals the exciting news we’ve been holding off for so long!
After many years of growing and developing as a company, our Senior Recruiter takes us down memory lane and tells us just how far we’ve really come! What is the exciting news you might ask? Well here is the big reveal!
SaleCycle has just been named one of Washington Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in the DC Metro area! As I read the email, I couldn’t help but think back on the days when such an award was unfathomable. The days when training was minimal and health insurance was replaced with a monthly stipend of $250. The days when we sat in windowless offices. And, believe it or not, the days before free drinks and snacks. Yes, those days actually existed not too long ago.
So how have we gone from that to becoming one of the best places to work for? Well, it’s simple. We listened to our most valuable asset: our team. However, listening is the easy part, taking action is where the hard work begins. And I think it’s safe to say that SaleCycle went to work!
Over the past 2 years, we’ve hired a Learning & Development manager who has helped us improve training across all departments. Not just training for new hires, but for current employees to continue to develop their skills as well. We’ve added medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits. SaleCycle covers all premiums for our employees. And just for kicks and giggles, we decided to cover their families as well because that’s how we roll.
However, we didn’t stop there! Remember those windowless offices I talked about? Well, now we have a new office location with a whole wall of windows for all to see.

And I’m still not done! We’ve also added a 401k plan with a 100% employer match for up to 5% of our employee’s annual salary. We’ve also got all the free drinks and snacks for everyone to gain an extra 10 pounds this summer. HA!
That’s a lot of changes in a short period of time and those changes have paid off in ways we never imagined they would. Now, I don’t want to make it seem like it’s always all smiles and roses here because it’s not. We still have our own challenges from time to time. But the difference is that when an issue arises, we are afforded an opportunity to correct it opposed to experiencing turnover. Our team has seen how invested we are in them which is why they, in return, have shown their loyalty to SaleCycle as well! Long Live SaleCycle!!
