When I think about my favorite on-screen characters, they’re usually part of a double act (even if one is given a higher credit over the other). Batman may have liked to portray the image of a lone wolf, but even he accepted the merits of a supportive sidekick.

Infamous detectives Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were fairly unsuccessful individuals before they decided to reside at 221B Baker Street together.
